Claire HarnEnz is a painter living and working in Brooklyn. Her large-scale monochromatic oil paintings use horses, cats, and other animals as a contemporary allegory of American identity. She received a BA in Studio Art and English from Kenyon College (2017) and an MFA in Painting from the Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University (2024).

Her work has been exhibited at Gund Gallery, Temple Contemporary, Harper’s, and Fredericks & Freiser, among others. She is a two-time recipient of the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant and was a finalist for the Hopper Prize.
